The FutureOS (short called OS) is an alternative Operating System for the Amstrad computers CPC6128 and CPC464/6128plus. It's a 100% novel development, coded in Z80 Assembler. The OS is compatible to the old disc-formats (Data, System, IBM, Vortex and Dobbertin HD20) and file types (binary, ascii, ...). But it's not compatible with old Amsdos- or CPM- programs. Old programs can be adapted, and they may run faster under FutureOS.

The OS contains a variety of disc- and file-tools (like multidirectional filecopy). It has many features (like the Porting-System), which doesn't exist on other computers.

The advantages of Amsdos (like file-headers) are kept, but greatly enhanced. (All 128 bytes of the file-header are used).

The OS needs 64 KB memory in an RRB (ROM-RAM-BOX, (c) Inicron), RAMcard or in a Standard Eprom-Card. Different ROM-selections are possible, and only the first ROM needs a number below 16. The OS is compatible with all other (EP)ROM expansions, itself is running in the ROMs. Therefore the OS needs only 2 ( -8 ) KB of RAM.

Pedazo de reflote milenario para anunciar que FutureOS ya tiene página en castellano (que he traducido a ratillos, podeis decirme los fallos, yo ya he visto uno ) y en la misma página tenemos un emulador online de FutureOS, para el que le de pereza trastear con la configuración del emu

Después de mucho tiempo, tenemos nueva versión en castellano gracias a robcfg y un servidor. Esta incluye el nuevo juego de iconos de MacDeath, el modo espartano y algunas novedades más

Os dejo la última compilacion de mi cartucho para el plus ahora con future os.

Como no hay espacio para las tuberias, esta algo comprimido, se queda asi.

Me parece que no hace falta escribir la última comilla.

Para otros idiomas de la rom de future os/cartucho preguntarle a tmf en cpcwiki que las tiene.

Si el tinglado casca. Yo no existo.

Quedan 10 roms libres en el cartucho, por si alguien tiene alguna sugerencia.

edit:jope, volver a descargarlo que le faltaba una rom al cartucho del future os por culpa de unos ceros que le faltaban a la rom para hacer 16kb. .

Empezó solo para cargar el hxc del cartucho, y al final ha acabado teniendo hxc,c4cpc,symbos,futureos y cp/m. Lol.
